The 80mm blade is locked in place firm when in the open position for extra strength. The knife blade is made from high grade European 440 grade high carbon with a bead finish for an improved rust resistant steel.
As part of the HiTech the M273/EB incorporates a new locking system requiring the user to press down on the trigger mechanism to unlock the blade. M273/EB also incorporates a hole in the back of the blade to allow users to open the blade one handed.
