The Opinel No.8 Folding Knife is the most popular, most practical size; measuring 8.5cm (blade length) with a stainless steel blade and safety cuff. This range is an upgrade from the traditional beech handle to a sleek Oak, Walnut or Olive Wood handle.

Produced in the heart of the French Alps since 1890, Opinel pocket knives draw simplicity and durability from their mountain roots. Over time, the Opinel folding knife has been adopted world over and is now a recognised design icon. It remains ever practcial and popular for DIY, camping, or picnics in the countryside. The Tradition collection offers the original 1890 picket knife in different sizes, colours and woods.

Opinel Inox was founded in 1890 in the Savoie region of France by Joseph Opinel, and his descendants still own the company. Opinel employs around 100 people; produce 4 million knives per year; all of their manufacturing is still done in Chambery. The easily-recognisable Opinel folding knife is acknowledged as one of the best knives in the world.
